We’re introducing a new model to our packaging system, refillery for delivery! Not only will this reduce waste but it is also about helping to reduce shipping costs as the increased courier costs/cost of living continues to rise.
We feel proud to be leading the way to a more sustainable pet care industry. Now, if you’re a customer of ours you’ll already know that right from the start, we’ve been using responsibly sourced 75% recycled cardboard in our packaging and it’s proven to be a huge success.
Cardboard, in general, has a low environmental impact, it’s 100% recyclable and biodegradable and minimizes waste generation. While there are plenty of positive aspects to using this material, it doesn’t mean we’re not always looking for ways we can improve.
With that in mind, the Furbaby team have worked hard to get priceless customer feedback and transform these insights into a handy NEW packaging system which is now coming to fruition.
Lots of testing
We did 5 months of in-depth testing with various shapes, and cardboard strengths and sourced lengthy feedback from our loyalist customers to land where we are today

Our refillery system is born
We’re thrilled to introduce our new refillery system which will start rolling out in January 2023. This new packaging system includes:
Our Standard Pantry Box
It’s a crowd favourite, award-winning sustainable design that contains two of our very handy scoops! This box is going to get a new look on the outside and will become your ‘pantry’ box.
Designed to be reused over and over, or until it starts to show wear and tear and then you can simply order another.
Because 'fresh-is-best' our Chicken Dog Box is manufactured in small batches and delivered in sealed 5kg sizes for maximum freshness. This pantry box hold will always hold a 1 x 5kg bag for easy access and fast meal times.
NEW Sustainable Refill Boxes
There are NEW and various shapes and sizes have been thoroughly tested and put through their paces. The purpose of these refill boxes is to reduce packaging materials (i.e. less cardboard) for us and you at home while also economising on courier costs.
Future orders will be sent in a refill box for you to top up your handy kitchen, laundry or pantry box. Need 10kg for bigger furbabies? No sweat! We send 2 x 5kg bags within the refillery box - one for now on-the-go and the second to refill your pantry box when you need it.
So what happens next?
Once this system is live, for new orders we’ll send you the standard pantry box, to begin with. This box can live in your pantry or wherever you prefer to keep your dog food stashed away out of reach from snouts and paws. Pop out the handy measuring scoop to dish up the perfect amount of food every meal to suit your dog's age, weight and activity levels.
Once your next order is due we’ll automatically send out the new refillable box based on how much food you order. If you’ve got a small dog, the box will be smaller - large breed, more food = larger box. Easy as!
The bigger greener picture
These packaging upgrades help pivot My Furbaby even further towards our mission of looking after pets, people and the planet.
